In 2008, Graeme was one of the founders of the Big Laughs Belfast comedy collective as a performer and promoter, helping to re-invigorate the live stand-up scene across Northern Ireland, and bringing a new generation of stand-ups to the fore. As well as managing the longest running open mic comedy night at the Pavilion Bar for 3 years, Graeme has produced numerous comedy and spoken word variety nights in the Black Box (including Big Laughs at the Black Box, Mixed Nuts, The Mix Up and currently Afternoon Delight), was a co-founder of the comedy night for the curious, Bright Club Belfast, and runs the contemporary underground variety night ‘Secret Cabaret’ with Seedhead Arts.

He is a co-founder and programmer of the Belfast Comedy Festival, and also regularly programmes comedy for the Out to Lunch Festival, Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival, Northern Ireland Human Rights Festival, East Belfast Arts Festival and Stendhal Festival of Art. Every July, he runs a month-long pre-Edinburgh Fringe Festival season at the Black Box called Comedy Lab.

In conjunction with BBC Radio Ulster, he also developed and programmed the award-winning stand-up showcase Live at the Sunflower, broadcast in Autumn 2015, with a second series due in Spring 2017. He is currently developing his own solo stand-up show for the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival called Get Happy.

Daniell Morrisey is Head of Talent for BBC Entertainment, Music & Events, the home of Strictly Come Dancing, Dragon's Den, The National Lottery Awards, The Proms, Glastonbury, Jools Holland and Children In Need, and is always on the search for series producers and execs with great credits. He was previously Head of Talent for BBC Comedy and Talent Executive with BBC Children’s, primarily crewing CBeebies shows. Other roles included Business Manager with BBC Vision, the in-house production arm of the BBC comprising Factual, Entertainment, Comedy, Drama, Children’s and Multiplatform programming, HR Business Partner to BBC’s Entertainment, Comedy and Drama departments, and as head of recruitment for BBC NEWS.

Prior to joining the BBC, Daniell spent many years in the commercial sector recruiting journalists and editorial staff for print, interactive and broadcast sector, working with a range of companies including Virgin, ITV and AOL.

Daniell is an experienced career coach and, having started his career as a journalist and magazine editor, still writes about career matters.

I was Short Film Executive on BOOGALOO AND GRAHAM, the BAFTA winning and Oscar ® nominated short film. I am currently working on several initiatives through the Northern Ireland Screen BFI Net.Work initiative. Shorts to Features is development scheme to encourage emerging talent to develop proof of concept short films with a view to eventual feature production. Access Shorts is a Scheme for under-represented filmmakers to develop short content. In 2016/17 five of the six writer/directors participants are female creatives. Creative Animation is a production scheme to develop junior animators working in local animation studios. I also manage the Net.Workshops seminar training course for emerging talent with a facilitating local producer who devised the training model. The Scheme covers all aspects of the production process within the animation, factual and fiction genres. I look after the Short Film Calls, currently running on a bi-annual basis for new and emerging talent.

I was the researcher for the latest series of the BBC's Nolan Live. Prior to that post I was the Health Correspondent for the Belfast Telegraph and worked for the newspaper for 12 years.

I built up extensive experience in investigating and breaking health stories and was named the CIPR 2016 silver winner for Specialist of the Year.

Other key roles during my time at the Belfast Telegraph included Belfast City Reporter which focused on breaking local government stories.

I have extensive experience working within the print industry but now aim to develop my skills within broadcasting.

I hope to embrace all new career opportunities!
