Commissioning Editor, Scotland and Northern Ireland Lead
I am a Commissioning Editor for Lifestyle at Channel 4. I look after a broad church of shows across peak, daytime and More4 including The Great Pottery Throw Down, Love It or List It, Do You have ADHD, The Big Pound Shop Experiment and Our Tiny Islands. Some of my recent commissions include Surgery Secrets of the Super Rich, £10K in 10 Days and Knackered: Why Can’t we Sleep? Prior to commissioning I looked after Nations and Regions for Channel 4 and before that was an Exec and Head of Development.

Cimran Shah, Commissioning Editor at Channel 4 joined in 2021, commissioning across the Entertainment slate. Cimran has a particular interest in distinctive unscripted entertainment, scripted comedy and purposeful reality Cimran’s slate includes Your Song, The Last Leg, The Great British Bake Off, Lateish with Mo Gilligan, The Big Narstie Show, 8 Out of 10 Does Countdown, Complaints Welcome, How We Forgot To Save The Planet and The Alternative Xmas Message, Prince Andrew: The Musical and Make Me Prime Minister. Cimran has a background in news and current affairs. Prior to his time at Channel 4 Cimran was Series Producer of The Last Leg where he was nominated for two BAFTAs and won an RTS Award. Before this, he produced Question Time, Panorama, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and The One Show.
Radio & TV Producer & Presenter
Vinny Hurrell is a seasoned broadcaster, producer and journalist with almost two decades in radio and television. His experience stretches from fronting BBC One property programmes to producing the long running Nolan Show on radio and TV. Vinny currently works as a Senior Presenter/producer on the daily morning ‘Vinny & Cate’ show on BBC Radio Ulster.

Head of Specialist Factual
Shaminder Nahal is Head of Specialist Factual at Channel 4. She commissioned The Piano and the department’s output includes SAS: Who Dares Wins, and Guy Martin and Grayson Perry’s work . Shaminder has commissioned contemporary history and culture series Defiance, Miners’ Strike 1984: The Battle for Britain, Paula, Depp v Heard, a co-production with Netflix, and Kids. Single films include Accused: The Hampstead Paedophile  Hoax, Grenfell, My Sexual Abuse: The Sitcom and How to Survive a Dictator with Munya Chawawa. Shaminder was one of the commissioners behind the Black to Front project. Prior to Channel 4, she was Deputy Editor of Channel 4 News and Newsnight.
