Sean Doyle - Executive Director, Unscripted, Disney+ EMEA
Sean Doyle is Executive Director of Unscripted Originals for Disney + EMEA, where he leads commissioning and development of unscripted content across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before joining Disney+ in January 2021, he held senior content roles at Channel 4 (as Deputy Head of Features & Formats) and at Channel 5, where he oversaw major reboot and format-driven projects. Under his leadership at Disney+, the unscripted slate has expanded to include high-profile documentaries and format reinventions such as Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story and a revamped version of Blind Date. With a particular interest in bold local stories and female-skewed factual content, Doyle continues to drive Disney+’s unscripted ambitions in the region.
Commissioning Executive, Unscripted, Disney+ EMEA
Jon Swain is a seasoned unscripted television executive who currently serves as Commissioning Executive, Unscripted at Disney+ EMEA. He joined the company from the production and format powerhouse Shine TV — where he spent three years leading the label (and was executive producer on the Disney+ Original Finding Michael). At Disney+, he works under the leadership of Sean Doyle and is credited as executive producer on high-profile commissions such as the forthcoming docu-series The Rooneys (working title) and the revival of Blind Date for the UK audience. With his background in formats and factual-entertaining unscripted television, Swain brings to Disney+ EMEA a sharp focus on locally rooted stories, format innovation and building out the streamer’s unscripted original slate.
Senior Manager, Unscripted, Disney+ EMEA
Gaby Aung joined Disney+ in 2024 and works alongside Sean Doyle and Jon Swain on the UK&EMEA unscripted slate. Most recently she has exec produced Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth which premiered on Disney+ on Nov 10th, and is currently working on a new series with the former Made in Chelsea stars Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo. Prior to joining Disney+ she was a series producer at Lightbox, working on the four-part Disney doc Camden and the Grierson nominated Sam Mendes WW2 project What They Found for BBC2. Some of her production credits include the Netflix true crime doc Memories of a Murderer: The Nilsen Tapes and Minnow Films’ critically acclaimed Bafta award winning Grenfell. At Minnow, she also developed and produced the Grierson and RTS-nominated American Justice for BBC2.
