Documentary maker & media personality
James Blake is a BBC Three documentary maker, media personality, and digital influencer, quickly establishing himself as one of television’s most compelling new voices. He was recently awarded the Royal Television Society Northern Ireland Breakthrough Talent Award. James made his presenting debut with the hit BBC Three documentary Hunting The Catfish Crime Gang—a gripping exposé on romance fraud, human trafficking, and forced scamming. Travelling from the UK to South East Asia, James investigated how vulnerable people are exploited online and manipulated into love scams. The documentary also explored human trafficking and forced scamming, striking a powerful chord with viewers and critics alike, and was praised for its raw storytelling and social relevance. In 2025, James returned to BBC Three with Hunting the Online Sex Predators—a bold and unflinching follow-up that delves even deeper into the dark web of online exploitation. James collaborated with law enforcement agencies around the world and worked alongside survivors to track down perpetrators using social media and encrypted platforms to target children and young people. With exclusive access to undercover operations and emotionally charged interviews in the USA and the Philippines, the documentary has already made headlines and continues to fuel conversations around online safety and digital accountability. Outside of his documentaries, James has been featured on live television and radio, with appearances on This Morning, BBC Morning Live, and other national platforms. He speaks publicly on the power and risks of the digital world, with his own social media audience reaching millions each month. James has partnered with brands such as Ferrari, Virgin, and The Open University, and is the founder of two ventures: VINDICTA®, a digital marketing agency, and VirtuSign®, an AI-powered document management platform launching in Summer 2025.
