A two part keynote,HaZ Dulull will open with a very visual heavy insight into how they were able to seamlessly move from animated feature film to video games, which then led to one of their animated film IP turning into a Fortnite game which is now available on PC and all Consoles (PS5, Xbox series and Switch) and how Transmedia has given the company a business leverage.

The Second part of the keynote will be delivered by Paula Crickard, sharing the strategy on HaZimation having a presence in Belfast for its new projects ranging from animated feature films to live action and video games.

Director / Producer, HaZimation

HaZimation is an independent studio founded by Director / Producer HaZ Dulull (indie feature film THE BEYOND , Disney’s FAST LAYNE series). The Studio is developing & producing feature films, series and video games based on their propriety pipeline utilising Unreal Engine. Its first animated movie is RIFT (TBC release early 2024). The studio is also co-founded by Producer Paula Crickard (EXPANDABLES 4, FANTASTIC BEASTS) a veteran in the film industry. Its first game is Max Beyond which was signed on the ID@Xbox program, and a sci-fi adventure Fortnite game - MOONTOPIA, which is now available on all consoles (PS5 Xbox Series, Switch), PC and Android via the Island code: 3538-0241-3570

Paula Crickard

Producer

Paula has worked in the film industry for almost 30 years, debuting as award winning documentary director in 1994 with Northern Visions in Belfast. Her career has spanned a variety of roles for multi award winning companies such as Killer Films in NYC, Elle Driver & Wild Bunch in Paris and Millennium Media in LA. Paula spent several years as head of production at Finite Films and TV developing and producing live action and animation, earning a BIFA nomination as breakthrough producer along the way. She has also worked across multiple genres as a producer and post-production supervisor on over 45 feature drama and documentaries, ranging in budget from indie smash hit The Beyond with HaZ Dulull to globally renowned films such as. Terry Gilliam's The Man who Killed Don Quixote and action franchise The Expend4bles. Paula is co founder of HaZimation, a live action, animation and gaming company formed with director HaZ Dulull. HaZimation are currently in pre production with their second feature animation based on the game Mutant Year Zero.
