I’m From The Road… Is a documentary film project by Notasuch Films Ltd., supported by Future Screens NI in partnership with the Marion Centre of Excellence, Ulster University and Studio Ulster/CoSTAR Screen Lab.

In the film, Scott works with the young people attending the Marion Centre for education, based in the former St. Comgall’s school on the Falls Road. Learning outside of the mainstream school system, the young people appearing in the film tour Belfast with Scott as they develop a sense of who they are and where they’re from, through poetry.

The film is authored on camera by Shankill poet, Scott McKendry, produced by Jolene Mairs Dyer and directed by Vincent Kinnaird.

Professor Declan Keeney, PhD, FRSA, SFHEA, is Co- Founder & CEO of Studio Ulster Ltd, a £72m next- generation virtual production studio and creative tech company based at Belfast Harbour Studios, a pillar innovation project of the Belfast Region City Deal. Declan in a global leader in real-time screen technologies and holds a Chair in Screen Technologies & Innovation at Ulster University. He is Director of the CoSTAR Screen Lab, overseeing £12m in R&D investment. A board member of the British Film Institute and Northern Ireland Governor, he has secured over £91.5m in R&D&I investment funding, co-leads several major UKRI-funded national initiatives in virtual production, and founded the Ulster Screen Academy— home to the UK and Ireland’s first university-based VP studio.

Dr Jolene Mairs Dyer

Dr Jolene Mairs Dyer is a Lecturer in Media Production at Ulster University.
