Fionnuala Deane

Fionnuala is a founder member and Managing Director of Dog Ears, an award-winning creative studio based in Derry bringing stories and characters to life across media and platforms worldwide. Dog Ears has co-produced the Emmy-nominated pre-school show, Puffin Rock, with partners Cartoon Saloon and Penguin Random House. Puffin Rock and The New Friends was released in 2023, a new Screen Ireland and Northern Ireland Screen supported animated feature film. Fionnuala is currently an executive producer working on a large scale 2D animated series with an American Streamer due for release in 2024. She is also an active Board Member of Northern Ireland Screen.

John McDaid

John was an award-winning multi-disciplinary designer for 14 prior to joining Dog Ears as Creative Director in 2012, going on to design children’s books and produce Ireland's first picture book app before moving into animation production. John was Producer on two Seasons of Emmy Award Nominated Netflix show, Puffin Rock, as well as Puffin Rock and the New Friends - the first animated movie made in Northern Ireland. John also created and co-directed Saturday Club for Hopster, and is producer on a major new animation series launching early 2024.
