Kieran Doherty

CEO and Co-Founder, Stellify
Kieran Doherty is a Northern Irish writer, TV format creator, Executive Producer and Public Speaker. He is also the Joint Managing Director of Stellify Media, alongside his creative and business partner, Matthew Worthy. Doherty & Worthy have co-created multiple entertainment formats - including the international formats Secret Fortune and Take The Money and Run - while working for UK independent production company Wild Rover Productions. In 2014 Doherty & Worthy launched the production company Stellify Media as a joint venture with Sony Pictures Television. Stellify Media is best known for successfully rebooting Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? with Jeremy Clarkson for ITV, and Blind Date with Paul O'Grady for Channel 5. Stellify have also created several award-winning formats such as Beauty Queen & Single for BBC Northern Ireland, Flinch for Netflix, and Celebrity Snoop Dogs for Channel 4. Previously Chair of The RTS NI and Chair of The RTS NI TV Awards, Kieran also served two terms as the PACT Director for Northern Ireland. He is also a founding member of the Media Therapy Group, the largest media networking group in Ireland.

Head of History at the BBC, overseeing everything from the critically acclaimed 9/11: Inside the President's War Room and the Sundance-premiering Untouchable: The Rise and Fall of Harvey Weinstein, to box-set hits such as Rise of the Nazis and A Dangerous Dynasty: House of Assad, and returning series such as Who Do You Think You Are? and A House Through Time. Prior to this, I worked at National Geographic Channel, where my commissions included the series Dian Fossey: Secrets in the Mist. I have also worked extensively in independent TV production in the UK, exec-producing the headline-grabbing Channel 4 documentaries about the discovery of King Richard III, including the award-winning Richard III: The King in the Car Park. These highlights have built on his experience as a writer, producer and director for US, UK and International broadcasters.
